Tori would decide to check out an area that she had heard a lot about during her time in Volco, it's famous hot springs. Arriving at the hot springs, she would look around in wonder of the place. " Wow this place really is amazing." She says looking around the area.
" Yea this place really makes me feel right at home." Flannery would say walking up to Tori, having heard her comment.
" Wait aren't you Flannery the gym leader of the Lavaridge gym?" Tori responds recognizing her as a Hoenn gym leader.
" That's right, though during my time off from the gym, I like to run this hot spring out here in Shouto. I even will battle against trainers if they want to on some days, which today happens to be one of." Flannery responds, explaining her being there.
" Wow that sounds amazing." Tori responds to Flannery. " I know this may sound strange coming from a Coordinator, but do you think that you could battle me for a practice battle. I'm training my pokemon to become stronger for our Contests."
" Sure thing, I don't mind, after all, as a gym leader, taking on challenges is what I do. " Flannery says excitedly taking out a pokeball. " So let's go Slugma." She would then throw the pokeball releasing her Slugma to the field.
" Great. Tama-kun, show time." Tori say as she would throw Tama's pokeball releasing him to the field as well. " Tama-kun start things off with your Aqua Jet." Tama would nod as he would lunge forward with water covering his body as he strikes Slugma with a fast tackle (Slugma 63/85) Flannery would then order a Smog as Slugma would spit forth a purple smoke from its mouth onto Tama, causing him to cough caught in it (Tama 82/83) " Now Tama-kun, give it your Water Pulse." Tama would nod as he forms a sphere of water between his hands, throwing it forth at Slugma, trapping it within as pulses of water bombard it before exploding (Slugma 29/85) Flannery would then have Slugma use Overheat, having it spit forth an array of fire onto Tama, striking him as he blocks with his shell (Tama 76/83)
" Tama-kun finsh it with one more Water Pulse." Tori says as Tama would form another sphere of water between his hands and throw it forth at Slugma, trapping it within as pulses of water bombard it before exploding, dealing 34 damage, fainting it.

Tama grew to lv 30*
" That was good, now try on my next Slugma." Flannery says sending out her next Slugma to the field.
" Tama-kun let's give it your Shell Blade." Tori says as Tama would remove his shell and run towards Slugma as a bladed aura would overtake his shell and slash it across the chest (Slugma 39/85) Flannery would then order an Overheat from her Slugma as it too would spit forth a powerful burst of fire onto Tama, knocking him back (Tama 75/86) " Tama let's finish it with another Shell Blade." Tama would now as a blades aura would come over his blade a second time as he would roll out the side of the blast, running forward at Slugma, cutting through the flames as he does until he reaches Slugma and slashes it, dealing 46 damage, fainting it.

Tama learned Encore forgetting Tail Whip*
" That's a nice pokemon you've got there, but how will it stand, Torkoal." Flannery says sending out her final pokemon.
" This one's close in level to Tama-kun but he took care of her last 2 pokemon so he deserves a rest. Go Pika-chan." Tori says recalling Tama and sending out her Pikachu. " Pika-chan let's show her your special move." Pika would nod as she would raise her hands summoning a mass of water which she would jump on, riding on top of it, before crashing down onto Torkoal, striking it, dealing 192 damage, fainting it.
*Pika gained 490 xp
Pika grew to lv 45*
" Wow that was quite an impressive battle between that pokemon of yours that I've never seen before and your Pikachu knowing a water attack, I'd say you're full of surprises that'll definitely help you in your contests. Maybe we can battle again some time in the future." Flannery says giving Tori $2800 and TM Fire Blast before heading off into the springs.
" Yea maybe we can some time." Tori says as she would hug Tama and Pika for a job well done.
