Training at the Reef

Kota and Misaki would sleep inside of their tent as the snow falls outside over the Reef Pools. Hearing the sound of something training out in the snow, Kota would awaken to go check it out. Heading outside, he would see a level 20 Buizel doing some training on the sands of the beach, seeming to shadow box. Taking notice to Kota's presence, it would challenge him to battle it. " Alright if it's a battle you're after, I'll give it to you. Go Allegro." Kota says sending out his Grovyle to the field. As he appears, he would stare down his opponent as they both prepare. " Allegro give it your Leaf Blade." Allegro would prepare to attack as Buizel suddenly rushes forward with its Quick Attack, delivering a fast tackle to Allegro, knocking him back (Allegro 95/102). Allegro would however stop himself, flipping backwards before jumping forward at Buizel, the leaves on his arm taking on a blade form as he slashes Buizel, knocking it back (Buizel 0/67)

" That was a great job Allegro, and it was fun Buizel. Maybe if you train we can have a rematch sometime." Kota says to both pokemon as Allegro would give a nod. Buizel would meanwhile look over them both for a second before giving a friendly nod, diving into the water. Kota would then recall Allegro and head back into the tent.

Kota and Misaki would walk along the sand portion of the Reef Pools, Kota looking out onto the reef admiring its beauty. " Wow your beach out here really has some beautiful wonders to it." Kota says as he watches the pokemon swim through the water around the reef. " I wonder what other kinds of pokemon live in this area of the beach."

" You'll see, there are plenty of interesting pokemon out here an a veriety of ways to get them to appear." Misaki says raising up her finger and winking her eye. As she speaks with Kota about the pokemon, a level 25 Corsola would come up to the surface of the water from the reef, soon followed by a smaller level 20 Corsola. "See what I tell you? Let's see if they mind a battle, go Viper." Misaki would throw her Janovy's pokeball out, releasing him to the field as he gives a smug smile.

" Alright then we'll join in as well. Allegro, let's go." Kota says as he would release his Grovyle to the field. Allegro would cross his arms awaiting his trainer's command. " Allegro Leaf Blade on the bigger Corsola." Allegro would nod as he runs forward at Corsola, the leaves on his arms becoming blades before he lunges forward at it with great speed, slashing it with his blades (Corsola 0/97)

" Viper try out your new Leech Seed on Corsola." Misaki says as Viper would swipe his tail, releasing a seed from it, headed towards Corsola before landing on its head. The seed would then grow rapidly into a plant. Corsola would then use Harden, hardening its body to raise its defense. The snow would then bombard everyone in the battle, hurting them some (Allegro 93/105) (Viper 65/75) (Corsola 77/82) The Leech Seed would then kick in, absorbing its energy and giving it to Viper (Corsola 67/82) (Viper 70/75)

" Allegro now get it while it's being drained with your Seed Bomb." Kota says as Allegro would rush forward at Corsola, jumping into the air forming a seed of energy before bringing it down onto Corsoal, striking it in the head, knocking it into the water (Corsola 0/82)

" Alright that was great and you learned a new attack Viper." Misaki says happily to Viper for his job in the battle as Viper would give a happy yet smug cry in return.

Kota and Misaki would continue with their time out at the Reef Pools, looking to do some training against the pokemon that were there. Heading out closer to the water's edge, they would find a pair of level 20 Shellder causing trouble to anyone who comes near the spot. Noticing that they're causing trouble, misaki decides to step in. " Let's help to get these pokmeon out of here. Go Viper." Misaki says releasing her Janovy to the field.

" Right we can't let them continue this. Let's go Allegro." Kota says as he sends forth his Grovyle to the field to battle, Allegro crossig his arms, waiting for commands. " Allegro start things off with Leaf Blade." Allegro would nod as he runs forward at Shellder, the leaves on his arms becoming blades before he lunges forward at it with great speed, slashing it with his blades (Shellder 0/67)

" Viper now get the remaining one with your Grass Mixer." Misaki says as Viper would begin to spin as a vortex of grass would be released from his tail, catching Shellder in it as he whips his tail around, slamming it into the sand ( Shellder 41/67) Shellder would then attack back with a Water Gun, spitting forth a burst of water onto Viper, pushing it back some before he stops it, digging his feet in the sand (Viper 71/78)

" Allegro now finish it off with your Seed Bomb." Kota says as Allegro would rush forward at Shellder, jumping into the air forming a seed of energy before bringing it down onto Shellder, striking it in the head, knocking it into the water (Shellder 0/67)

" Yea hopefully they've learned now and won't be doing that again." Kota responds to her.

Kota and Misaki would continue with their training of their pokemon down at the Reef Pools walking along the beach for pokemon to battle against. Combing the sand, they would come to a pair of level 20 Clamperl coming out of the sand. " Alright looks like we've got a battle to do here. Go Lacie." Misaki says as she sends forth her Croconaw.

" Here we go in a battle go Allegro." Kota says as he would send his Grovyle into the battle. He would then stand waiting for Kota's orders. " Allegro give it a Leaf Blade on the Clamperl." Allegro would nod as he runs forward at Clamperl, the leaves on his arms becoming blades before he lunges forward at it with great speed, slashing it with his blades (Clamperl 0/72)

Lacie now give that second one a taste of your Bite." Misaki says as Lacie would run forth at Clamperl, biting down onto its shell, hurting it some (Clamperl 63/72) Clamperl would then attack back with Water Gun, spitting forth a burst of water onto Lacie, knocking her back some (Lacie 73/75)

" Now Allegro get it while it's distracted, Seed Bomb." Kota says as Allegro would rush forward at Clamperl, jumping into the air forming a seed of energy before bringing it down onto Clamperl, striking it in the head, knocking it into the water (Clamperl 0/72)

" Alright that was a nice battle Lacie and you've grown from it." Misaki says as she walks over to her happily congratulating her Croconaw.

" And that was a great job helping her out in that battle Allegro." Kota says congratulating Allegro as he would cross his arms giving a nod of acceptance. Lacie would meanwhile look over at Allegro with a slight crush.

Kota and Misaki, looking out onto the water, ejoying the clear day, would watch the pokemon swimming through the reef area. As they look out, they would see a level 24 Shellder and level 25 Corsola sparring one another out on the water's edge. " Hey maybe they'll want a battle since they're out there battling one another. Let's go Lacie." Misaki says as she would send out her Croconaw to the field.

" Alright let's test the waters. Go Allegro." Kota responds as he would release his Grovyle to the field ready to battle. The wild pokemon noticing them would look over, seeing that they wanted a battle and would both nodin agreement to one another, turning to face Allegro and Lacie. " Perfect looks like they agree. Allegro let's get started with a Leaf Blade on Corsola." Allegro would nod as he runs forward at Corsola, the leaves on his arms becoming blades before he lunges forward at it with great speed, slashing it with his blades, knocking it backwards (Corsola 0/97)

" Allegro now get it with your Leaf Blade." Kota says as Allegro would run forward towards the point Lacie had tossed it, his leaves becoming blades before he up at it, slashing it, sending it spinning (Shellder 2/79)

" Now Lacie finish it with your Water Gun." Misaki says as Lacie would spit forth a burst of water from her mouth, blasting Shellder into the water and out of the battle (Shellder 0/79)

Kota and Misaki would walk along the sand of the reef pools, getting close to their time to leave when they would come across a man fishing in the water. Misaki interested in what he was doing, would go over to watch him as he fishes soon being joined by Kota. Looking over, he would notice Misaki watching. " Seems that the two of you are interested in fishing huh? If you want, I could sell you both an old rod for $500." Deric says to the two of them, making them an offer.

Kota and Misaki would both look at one another thinking over his offer for a minute before turning back to him. " Alright we've decided to accept." Kota says as the both of them give him the money as he gives them the rods. " Thank you very much."

" Happy fishing the both of you." Fishing brother Deric says as they go off to try out their fishing rods.

Kota would check his pokegear, finding that there was a message on it from Nurse Joy telling him that both his and Misaki's families had sent a gift to them at the Pokemon Center. " Looks like our families have given us a gift package for Christmas. We can pick them up at the Pokemon Center." Kota says to Misaki finishing checking the message.

" Wow that sounds amazing. I can't wait to see what my family sent me, let's hurry." Misaki says in an excited tone as a Delibird would suddenly fly down in front of them. " A Delibird, in this area. What's it doing here?" Delibird would then reach into its bag and take out a pair of bells, giving one to each of them.

" Hey this is a soothe bell. It helps pokemon become more friendly to their trainers even faster. Thank you Delibird." Kota says to Deilbird pocketing the bell.

" Oh thank you very much." Misaki says happily to Delibird as it would give a happy cry, flying off to deliver more bells. " Now where were we? Let's get going to the Pokemon Center." Misaki would then excitedly run off towards Blue Bay followed by Kota.

Returning to the Reef Pool, Kota and Misaki would head out to the water's edge admiring the coral reef just out in the water. As they stand watching a pair of level 25 Corsola would come up to the surface of the water from the reef. "Alright this can be a great chance to do some training. Go Honey." Misaki would throw her Combee's pokeball out, releasing her to the field as she gives a happy cry.

" Alright then we'll join in as well. Allegro, let's go." Kota says as he would release his Sceptile to the field. Allegro would cross his arms awaiting his trainer's command. " Allegro Leaf Blade on one of the Corsola." Allegro would nod as he runs forward at Corsola, the leaves on his arms becoming blades before he lunges forward at it with great speed, slashing it with his blades (Corsola 0/97)

Within the glow she would grow and change and as it fades, she would float as a Vespiqueen. " Oh wow Honey, you evolved into Vespiqueen." Misaki says scanning her with her pokedex

" Congratulations Misaki, you've raised her well for her to have evolved like that." Kota says giving his congratulations to her on her evolution.

With the Pokemon Contest coming up fast Kota would decide to do some training with his pokemon alone out on the Reef Pools while Misaki would instead choose to watch his training to pick up on ideas of her own. With the time of night Kota would remember that some pokemon liked to do their own training out on the sand. Heading out to the water's edge, he would find a pair of level 25 Buizel doing some sparring of their own out there. " How about my pokemon and I give you a challenge?" Kota says calling out to the Buizel releasing his Sceptile and Kricktune to the sand. The Buizel would look to one another and nod to the challenge. " Alright then, Allegro start the sone with your Leaf Blade and Viola use your Bug Bite." Allegro would run forward at Buizel, the leaves on his arms becoming blades before he lunges forward at it with great speed, slashing it with his blades (Buizel 0/82)

Harmony would vanish, suddenly appearing in front of Clamperl giving a scream, scaring Clamperl, causing it to fall backwards flinching (Clamperl 81/82) Allegro would run forward at Corsola, the leaves on his arms becoming blades before he lunges forward at it with great speed, slashing it with his blades (Corsola 0/97)

Keeping up with training, Kota would sit fishing into the Reef Pools to see just what pokemon count be found in the water. Wanting to help out Kota, Misaki would fish with him. Soon enough the two would get a bite and reel in their catches, revealing it to be a pair of level 25 Corphish. " Go for it Kota." Misaki says cheering him on.

" Alright then, let's begin Allegro and Harmony." Kota says releasing his Sceptile and Misdreavus to the sand. " Harmony stop Corphish with your Astonish and Allegro show the other Corphish your Seed Bomb." Harmony would vanish, suddenly appearing in front of Buizel giving a scream, scaring Corphish, causing it to stumble backwards flinching (Corphish 81/82) Allegro would drop down on all fours, his seeds glowing as he shoots them forth onto Corphish, exploding on contact. Having spent their time out there in the Reef Pools, Kota and Misaki would decide that it was about time that they moved on from the area so their other pokemon could recieve the training that their grass pokemon had while there. As they pack up their things, a girl would come across the beach to confront them. " Hey I noticed that the two of you are pokemon trainers. How about a bit of a battle before you go?" Swimmer Julie would ask them holding up a pokeball.

Looking at eachother, they would silently agree to let Misaki have this battle. " Alright I'll take you on. I could use some training after all. Go Viper." Misaki says releasing her Janovy to the sand ready to battle as she releases her Croconaw to the field. " Alright Viper start things with your Leech Seed." Misaki says as Viper would shoot a seed forth from his collar, landing on Croconaw, quickly growing into a plant. Julie would order her Croconaw to use Leer as it gives a sharp stare lowering Viper's defense. The seed would then kick in, draining some of its energy (Croconaw 63/72)

" Now let's give it your Vine Whip." Misaki says as extend his vines and grab Croconaw, slamming it down onto the sand (Croconaw 49/72). Julie would then order a Bite from her Croconaw as it lunges forward, biting him (Viper 79/84) The seed would then drain Croconaw's energy, giving it to Viper (Croconaw 40/72) (Viper 84/84) " Now show it some real battling. Grass Mixer." Misaki says as Viper would begin to spin on his head, unleashing a tornado of grass from his tail, pucking up Croconaw and slamming it down onto the sand (Croconaw 14/72) Julie would then order a Water Gun as it would spit forth water from its mouth onto Viper, pushing him back some until he rolls out of it (Viper 82/84) The seed would then drain more of Croconaw's energy (Croconaw 5/72) (Viper 84/84)

" Now let's finish it with your Vine Whip." Misaki says as Viper would extend his vines from his coller towards Croconaw, whipping at it, KOing it (Croconaw 0/72)

" Very good for the first, now try out Prinplup." Julie says sending out her second pokemon. Prinplup would appear, crossing its arms with a superior look.

" Alright let's go again with your Leech Seed." Misaki says as Viper would rush forward at Prinplup as a seed would rise from his collar, shooting onto Prinplup, quickly growing into a plant. Julie would order her Prinplup to use Peck as it would suddenly strike Viper with its beak (Viper 85/87) The seed would then kick in, draining some of its energy (Prinplup 63/72) (Viper 87/87)

" Now let's give it your Vine Whip." Misaki says as extend his vines and grab Prinplup, tossing it across the sand (Prinplup 47/72). Julie would then order a Peck again from her Prinplup as it lunges forward, pecking him (Viper 85/87) The seed would then drain Prinplup's energy, giving it to Viper (Prinplup 38/72) (Viper 87/87) " Now show it your specialty Grass Mixer." Misaki says as Viper would begin to spin on his head, unleashing a tornado of grass from his tail, pucking up Prinplup and slamming it down onto the sand (Prinplup 8/72) Julie would then order a Metal Claw as it would run forward at Viper as the tips of its wings take on a metallic form, swiping at him, knocking him back (Viper 86/87) The seed would then drain the last of Prinplup's energy, giving it to Viper (Prinplup 0/72) (Viper 87/87)

" Wow that was an impressive battle, your pokemon was raised well. Let's battle agian sometime." Julie says recalling her Prinplup and giving Misaki $950 and a Mystic Water before heading off.

" You were great Viper. I'm proud of how you battled." Misaki says congratulating her Janovy as he gives a proud cry before being recalled. " Now let's get moving on to the next area for training." Miskai says starting off as Kota follows with her.
